DescriptionCrisis Home:
  • Provides a safe temporary shelter to women and their children who are fleeing abuse

    Wakaigin Housing:
  • Operates 14 transitional and 12 permanent housing units with rent geared to income

    Outreach Services:
  • Provides a diverse array of services to women and children leaving the Crisis Home to establish violence free living in the community

    Healing Our Own Counselling Unit:
  • Provides quality counselling to women experiencing physical, emotional, sexual or financial abuse
  • Services delivered through individual and group work incorporating traditional ways
  • Women's Walk-in Counselling Clinic (call for dates and time)

    Community Action Program for Children (CAPC):
  • Improves the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being of off-reserve Aboriginal families with children aged 0-6 yrs
  • Provides early childhood interventions that are targeted to promote a pathway for healthier child development
  • Provides information on children's nutrition and mental health

    Pre-Post Natal Nutrition:
  • Improves the nutritional health of Aboriginal mothers and their babies up to 6 months of age

    Native Alcohol and Drug Assessment:
  • Provides education and support to women dealing with addictions
  • Assesments and referrals to treatment are also providded

    Transitional Support:
  • Provides support and encourages women to live free of violence by connecting them with the necessary community support

    Child Witness of Women Abuse and Early Intervention:
  • Offers early intervention to children who have witnessed and/or been exposed to women abuse
